Gruppo Cordenons includes two paper mills in Italy. Both mills have been producing paper with a reputation for excellence, for centuries.
The History of the Cordenons, Italy Mill
The Cordenons mill continued its reputation of producing the highest quality fine paper for centuries when, in 1984, the mill was purchased by its current owners, the Gilberti family. The Gilberti family completely renovated the mill to its current state-of-the-art facility, committed to the tradition of producing the highest-quality fine papers available. The Valsugana paper mill was built in 1715 in an alpine valley of Northern Italy. This mill was owned and operated by influential Venetian families throughout the centuries who maintained and updated the small, private paper mill. In 1936, Senator Beniamo Donzelli, who was the owner of the largest paper mill in Italy, purchased the Valsugana mill. With his son-in-law, Ferruccio Gilberti, he made a series of investments that “re-launched” the paper mill. Under the management of the Gilberti family since 1975, the mill began to specialize in the production of high-quality fine papers. CORDENONS – IMPRESSIVE PAPERS
